Betty White‘s career started in 1945 when as "Lou’s Girl" in the short Time to Kill. She went on to play a star on a series of television show throughout her long and illustrious career. Most people, however, will agree that she is best known for her roles as Sue Ann Nivens on the Mary Tyler Moore show and as Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls.
Before Betty White became the household name that she is today she kept getting rejected by studios, because she was deemed "unphotogenic". The constant rejection eventually led to a brief, but prolific career on the radio where being photogenic was less vital.
Somewhere around those early years, between 1942 and '43 Betty did a tasteful nude burlesque photo shoot.
"Unphotogenic" my ass.
